Helder G. Tomar

TOMAR, HELDER G., 19, of Harvey St., died Saturday at Rhode Island Hospital.

Mr. Tomar was born in Boa Vista, Cape Verde, a son of Paulo and Virginia (Gomes) Tomar of Pawtucket. He came to this country 18 years ago settling in New York and had lived in Pawtucket for the past 17 years.

Besides his parents, he is survived by 3 brothers, John, Lenny and Rendy Tomar, all of Pawtucket; 3 sisters, Odilia Cruz of Brockton, MA, Tereza and Gorette Tomar, both of Pawtucket; paternal grandmother, Doratea L. Gomes of Cape Verde; maternal grandmother, Rosamaria Ramos of Cape Verde and Pawtucket. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His funeral will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home, 530 Smithfield Ave., Pawtucket. Calling hours Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawt. www.merrickrwilliamsfh.com
