The Capitol Region Education Council, based out of Hartford, CT will be holding a fundraising concert at their magnet school for the Performing Arts on July 12th starring Cape Verdean songstress Maria de Barros.
We are holding this concert is to raise money for our Center for Creative Youth in Cape Verde. This residency program, in joint with the government of Cape Verde, brings students from the United States to Cape Verde to gain a deeper understanding of African culture, and gain international experience with the arts.
