Mikiela Monteiro

NEW BEDFORD — Mikiela Monteiro, 2, of New Bedford, died July 13, 2008, unexpectedly at home.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Ines Monteiro and David Duarte, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Survivors include her parents; 3 brothers, Kevin, Devon and David; a sister, Ellisa; her grandparents, David and Eugenia (Vieira) Duarte of New Bedford, Eugenia Oliveira of Brockton and Joao Pedro Monteiro of Cape Verde; many aunts, including Diva Duarte of New Bedford; uncles and cousins.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
