Maria M. DePina

Brockton Maria M. (Lopes) DePina, age 84 years, passed away Tuesday at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Joao DePina. Born in Brava, Cape Verde, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Rufina (Mendes) Lopes. Mrs. DePina was a homemaker and a resident of Brockton since 1972. She is survived by her children, Alberto DePina, Maria Dos Santos, Manuel Lopes, Carlos Lopes, Antonio DePina and Joao DePina Jr., all of Brockton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, also survive her; as well as three sisters and one brother. A funeral service will be Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Church, North Main Street, Brockton.
