Born in Brava, Cape Verde, residing in the U.S. for 40 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Survivors include her husband; 2 sons, Jean-Pierre Lopes & John-Claude DeBurgo; 2 daughters, Emmanuella Lopes & Samira Habib; 2 brothers, John & Ildo; 2 sisters, Emelia & Maria; 10 grandchildren; nieces & nephews.
